A caloric density of 122 kcal/3oz can may seem a lot at first for a kitten, but their rapid growth requires lots and lots of calories. It’s often recommended that you let your kitten eat as much as they want in their first few weeks, but it still helps to keep tabs on what they’re taking in. With a high caloric density, you can rest assured that each mouthful is packed with real animal-ingredients and no rubbish filler.
Here are the feeding instructions given by the manufacturer for 3 oz cans:
- Up to 20 weeks, feed as much as your kitten will eat in 3 or 4 feedings per day.
- From 21 – 30 weeks of age, feed about 2/3 can per lb of body weight per day.
- From 31 – 52 weeks of age, feed about 1/2 can per lb of body weight per day.
